Why One-Time Financial Planners
Advice When You Need It — Not Forever: One-time financial planners are for people who want a real plan or a complex decision handled now, without signing a multi-year wealth-management contract. You book the work, get recommendations you can implement, and you're done until you choose to come back.
A Clear Financial Planner One-Time Fee: Instead of an open-ended retainer or a percentage of assets, you pay a financial planner one-time fee for a defined engagement — an hour, a project, or a comprehensive plan. You know the one-time cost before you start, so there are no surprise annual deductions from your accounts.
What That One-Time Cost Usually Covers: Depending on the engagement, one-time financial planners can help with retirement projections, portfolio reviews, tax-aware investing, equity compensation, 401(k) rollovers, debt strategy, and prioritizing your next money moves. You leave with clarity and a checklist — not a sales pitch to move assets onto their platform.
Better Than Ongoing AUM for Many DIY Investors: Traditional advisors often bundle “planning” into a recurring AUM fee. If you already invest on your own (or prefer to), a one-time financial planner lets you buy expertise à la carte. Pay the one-time cost for the help you need; keep custody and control of your money.
Fiduciary Guidance Without the Lock-In: Nectarine one-time financial planners are fiduciaries who don't earn commissions or AUM fees. That keeps incentives clean: the financial planner one-time fee is for advice, not for gathering assets. Ideal when you want a professional plan refresh, a second opinion, or answers — then the freedom to implement yourself.

I had an excellent session with Adam. He took the time to break down complex scenarios into actionable steps, giving me total clarity. If you're looking for a sharp, objective financial professional who can cut through the noise and provide immediate value, I highly recommend working with Adam.
Diana was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us quickly make some decisions that will help us tremendously. She can explain technical items very clearly in an easy to understand way. I look forward to working with her more to put myself in the best position for financial success.
Working with James was great! This was my first time working with an advisor, and I found him to be friendly and encouraging right off the bat. He listened to my concerns and questions, and took the time needed to address them. Having the recap email afterwards was SO helpful. Thanks James!!
